When are you open?

We open from Easter weekend until the October bank holiday weekend.

How do I get there?

For those travelling by car, the journey is relatively straightforward. Drivers coming from Dublin should take the M8 to Cork. Crosshaven is accessible by the Bus Eireann 220/220x bus which runs every 30 minutes. Find more details on our section on Getting Here here

Do I need to book?

Passengers are encouraged to book in advance during peak season but can pay while boarding during off-peak times. Card payments are accepted but occasional technical issues mean that cash is preferred.

Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more who are travelling together.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No. Passengers who book online will get an email containing their digital ticket with a bar code and reference number. This will be sufficient.

It’s that straightforward?

Well, with one minor catch. Mobile internet can be patchy in the area so customers are asked to keep a copy of the digital ticket on their phone rather than try to access their email while boarding as this may cause delays.

What happens if my cruise is cancelled due to bad weather?

Passengers will be offered a full refund, or they can rebook for a different date. Pre-booked passengers will be contacted informing them of a cancelled service.

Are infants and children allowed on the ferries?

Children and infants can travel on the cruises, they must travel be accompanied with an adult at all times.  Please note that our Twilight cruise are over 18’s only.

Are Buggies permitted?

Yes

Are wheelchairs permitted?

Yes

Are dogs permitted on board?

Only service dogs are allowed on board.

Do you have toilets?

Yes, we have two toilets on board.

Do you serve food?

Yes, we have a tuck shop service snacks and drinks and a coffee dock serving hot drinks.

Do you serve alcohol?

Yes, we have a bar but only serve alcohol on the evening cruises.

Do you take credit cards at the shops?

Yes. But please note that wi-fi reception, when on the water, can be patchy so cash is preferred on board.

Is there parking onsite?

There is no parking on the piers so please allow adequate time for parking, especially during busy holiday seasons. Some suggestions for parking include City Hall car park or the overflow car park at Kent Station. You can pre-book parking at the station online. Please note there is free parking in Crosshaven village but it gets busy at weekends.

What should I bring with me?

Do bring! Several light layers to be ready for Ireland’s famous changeable weather. Pack a rain jacket, sun glasses and camera all year around; add a blanket for your legs in cold months and sun cream in the summer. Remember: there’s no such thing as bad weather – only bad rain gear!
Don’t bring! An umbrella. You’ll take off like Mary Poppins once we hit Lough Mahon.
